Wrath of the Lich King Leveling Guides cost too much Money!

I've been promoting World of Warcraft leveling guides and WoW gold guides since a few months of playing WoW and realising leveling to level 70 (was just after the Burning Crusade expansion was released I started playing) would take forever, so I researched various leveling guides and bought Jonana's leveling guide for the Horde and was so impressed wrote my first WOW leveling guide review.

This was my first experience of using Clickbank and did OK since I'm an SEO Consultant and getting organic traffic to my sites is what I do best. Since then I've added more Clickbank reviews (less than a dozen products truly promoted) and have done quite well, my best month was just under $3,000 from Clickbank when Wrath of the Lich King was released and there was a mad rush for updated WOTLK leveling guides :)

Since that month my traffic has remained steady (minus the big peak in November 2008), but Clickbank sales from WOW products have DIED!

What happened was when Wrath of the Lich King released the 'big' leveling guide producers: Joana, Brian Kopp's, Team IDemise etc... significantly raised their prices! With the world wide credit crunch turning into a world wide recession gamers can't afford to pay these prices: seriously I know the leveling guides are brilliant, but it's not right to charge $45 extra for just 10 levels (levels 70-80).

I used to get a reasonable number of sales per 100 hops for WOW products, now it stinks. Prior to WOTLK I'd get an order roughly ever 70 hops for Joana's leveling guide, over the last 500 hops (that was a bit of luck, was exactly 500 hops for a paticular period of time) I have had a massive ONE order of Joana's leveling guide making me $35!!!!

That SUCKS as before the Wrath of the Lich King release I'd have seen around 8 to 10 orders for the same number of hops!

Brian Kopp's is worse, 300 hops no orders.

Team Idemise 200 odd hops 1 order ($26).

Fortunatly all my traffic is organic SEO, so I don't pay for it, but if I were one of the AdWords users I'd be loosing money promoting these products.

In comparison one of the few non WOW products I promote, 381 hops gave 11 sales worth over $200, 35 hops per order.

World of Warcraft Leveling Guide producers, stop being so God damn greedy in a recession and sell your wares at a cost people are ABLE and willing to pay!
